How to Calculate Your GSU GPA
Your GPA is calculated using the following formula:
GPA = Total Quality Points ÷ Total Credit Hours
Where Quality Points = Grade Points × Credit Hours for each course
GSU Academic Standards
- Good Academic Standing: Maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher
- Dean's List: Semester GPA of 3.5 or higher with at least 9 credit hours
- President's List: Semester GPA of 4.0 with at least 9 credit hours
- Academic Warning: First semester with cumulative GPA below 2.0
- Academic Probation: Continued cumulative GPA below 2.0
- Academic Suspension: Failure to raise GPA above 2.0 after probation
